Artist Statement The Logos – The colors of us all, bound in black and white, are two divided hues connecting in the light, shining past the shadows of what we used to seem and there rebinding all when we begins the dream. The Signatures – are meant to appear as if they are on aged paper… (Cue Liev Schreiber & montage of… I think you'll know what to imagine… paced to his voice. Slowly now.) It’s a re-declaration, using the signatures of those who represent the country’s people, the country’s teams, the country’s colors. They are the signatures of those who help bring the colors together, dedicated to the proposition that with work and work and work and work and work and evermore, evermore work, and on a chosen field where all are measured equally by the same set of rules, perhaps, if they’re fortunate, just the chance to touch greatness will arrive. And the dream will be real. It is in this way that they are us, and we are them. And so, we are. (Fade.) I just wanted to show my students. I just wanted to remind us. That's all. Glenn
Charitable Decisions.... The organizations/foundations chosen represent my attempt to honor at least one of the players represented on each ball. All but one should direct money toward our children. The LAFDF directs it toward first-responders who... you know. To be objective, I had to leave out organizations close to my home and heart. One of them was - The Call in Arkansas - They work for the foster children in my state and are approved through the eBay/PayPal Charitable system(s). There is a chapter for Columbia/Lafayette Counties. If you should you feel moved to donate. Please.
