A word about the signatures, please. They were created using the many examples on the internet, staying true to the general pattern of the originals. Reshaping a line. Playing with spacing. Adding lines of my own devising to honor the athletes, their talents, their pasts. Sometimes, something family related pops out. I like those. I am unsure as to my rights as an artist in reinterpreting someone’s name, the unique sweep of their hand signifying approval.
